of FEAR and LoVE, part 01

fear, balance and happiness

wanting to write this for years, in one guise or another; personally I think this subject is really interesting and exciting, the real plague of humanity ...not swine flu

...it is, as it will be.

It is not meant to offend but rather offers a personal viewpoint which may be of sufficient difference to warrant existence. I am not a “writer” in fact cannot write for “$#!*”, and hardly try, however stigma associated with presenting deeply personal work without excessive writing skill or technical ability should not perhaps preclude pleasure of storytelling nor sharing of experience and joy. I write as I speak (the origin of which is another thing entirely), from time to time cannot help but fabricate words or place them purposefully, there will possibly be spelling mistakes and it is based solely on actual personal experience; like talking in pixels could only be ...imperfect.

...for it is through imperfection that we glimpse perfection; and in imperfection I am certainly qualified, as are we all; think chaos theory and Mandelbrot sets...

Ultimately fear2love is not meant as refuge for salvation, nor is it consciously designed as such. It is merely a need to express, joy and understanding, through personal journey and is perhaps a reflection of universal consciousness. It asks questions continually as do I and if same questions challenge then all the better to have duality of function outwardly while journeying. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion; here’s mine :)

...”I don’t know why you say goodbye, I say hello”

Something has plagued me, my entire life, currently inescapable and is subconsciously / consciously driving fear2love. For an eternity it seems my bullshit detector mechanism has been going off tap. Over the last forty years or so it’s been subdued or turned off a couple of times due to periods of conformity and once upon a time, with insufficient information on which to base definite conclusion, pathways of life through a civilised system seemed worthy of attention; however it has never been what it purported, and I feel it may stem from this.

Rollup, Rollup, ...Rollup for the Magical Mystery Tour

There is mass false projection of security and happiness afflicting civilisation, stemming from lack of any “real” practical, physical spiritual human experience or awareness of self and is what I would call a form of delusion. It afflicts most if not all of us to some extent yet only one spiritual epiphany (certainly not hard to come by with an open mind) is required to change ...everything; however epiphany is but trigger and in actuality introspection which yields this conclusion for it is with introspection that we see with unity, taking into consideration the whole.

Once realised fully we see this type of apparition pertains to the intellectual formation and creation of justifiable reality which provides realistically illogical (if taken in complete context), yet secure reasoning framework for the supposed individual despite in most cases, contra-example all around.

...it’s an alternative to the acceptance of reality in holistic terms but rather selection of neat portion which can be made to fit a position of what could be called, non-responsibility.

To give brief but perhaps potent example, of why I feel reality is not concerned with current reasoning; it is common to feel we live in a system where there is balance of love and fear ...when 80% of the people on the earth live on less than $10 per day and we are interlinked economically; or that simple things such as warmth, shelter, food, etc. are all we need to thrive as humans irrespective that a cave is still a cave, deer skin still deer skin and warmth an open fire in middle of cave.

...our logic is fraught with hypocrisy

These notions appear irrespective that we’ve had these things forever yet more importantly that we still allow people to starve to death and enslave for less than a dollar per day in support what must be manufactured and secure world views. Is it not the case that simple things are all we need to “exist” ...not to thrive? One could argue; “doesn’t thriving involve more ...involve love, in the most positive sense of the use?” Or do we assume this construct to be ...love? Pretend?

Perhaps there are two types of thriving, that of fear and that of love; but the question then becomes ...are we thriving in fear, developing ever new means of adjustment? For myself, in this journey, it has I suppose come down to this; responsibility and holistic thinking.

...as I feel “all” traditional explanation for misery breaks down personally when taken holistically.

Doesn’t it strike anyone else? ...it’s all wrong? That for centuries, thousands of years we’ve been making excuses? That some are fabulously brilliant, persuasive, pervasive; but that if nothing changes, and people still starve ...they are ALL excuses? Perhaps every single answer yielded which does nothing, is indicative of a system so flawed that scrapping and starting over is actually the only option?

From a personal perspective I’ve witnessed these type of rationalisations proliferate, saturate mans thinking and are what I call, justifications for inaction ...intellectual, mental excuses. Part of the mind gymnastics we undergo to prevent insanity in a world gone wrong...a blinders on position. The validation to the self of this kind of logic is invaluable in the short term as coping mechanism however self, it is becoming more and more evident, is part of a greater whole and to truly grow and move forwards as a species I think we must learn acceptance and awareness of “ourselves”. How else do we sit unaware that...it’s actually “us”, not “them”?

...certainly one could diagnose me dreamer or even insane using standards formed of this delusional methodology and again I could affirm, my imagination is rife and encouraged ...yet I would ask, “do we? continually dream? ...that one day this system of fear will work?” and is this ...“insane”?

and ask, what do we really have again, that’s different now? If everything is taken into context, out of the personal bubble of feigned happiness, we can begin to see differently. We can see that this delusional thinking is currently the only means by which current civilisation could function and still maintain levels of absurd economic difference and suffering on local or continental let alone global scale.

Pondering the issue concludes that accepting responsibility for ones actions holistically can overcome this form of thinking and therefore has potential to affect real change for the betterment of all mankind (sexist terminology aside) ...not just me, I or you ...but “us”, the whole of “us”. Fact is, if actually given illumination for any length of time one arrives at a point of reflection so powerful that willingness to yield material wealth, no longer incomprehensible in fact becomes requirement to some degree for reconnection and thus fear of same is abolished.

...then I ask myself ...”what do we cling to in support of this misery and suffering?

Do we have protection? and then, protection from what? Love or fear? HEEEEE!!! Not afraid to seek answers within, needing protection from no one but myself...the acknowledgment and practice thereof seldom harms ...anymore, for I too have suffered, did or still do, from this delusion.

That there is balance I feel, is perception, (unless balance for us presently involves “extreme unbalance” as forced learning tool which ties exactly the concept I attempt impart) but from where do these perception stem? TV? Mainstream media? Corporations? Group think?

...everyone their hands in the pie? ...pretending they are the only ones?

Is this reality also balanced? Conglomerate effect of which is astonishingly destructive (think globally) and that intellectualised world views which reflect governmental or traditional opinion do nothing in fact to help the state of affairs in any way, shape or form ...or cannot seem to affect real change despite any amount of effort involved. This form of rationalising appears only to justify misery from a perspective of safety and security. Often the justification goes, “it’s mans’ nature” ...yet I disagree strongly, which we’ll get to soon enough (Futurama: “that’s not soon enough”).

So I ask ...”what does this really tell us?” That we are still afraid to move from the security of the pack on some ultra brainwashed level? ...for fear? ...of what? ...us? ourselves? Do we imagine in every horror our own perpetration? ...do we accept this as ability? still? ...and should we? is that really why there is no change? marching steadily onwards in blind, deluded oblivion having made the entire picture so clouded that most cling to propaganda of artificial security than reality? hiding from ourselves?

...have we become so afraid of one bad apple ...that we all went bad?

Note: this next bit came to me in another weirdly informative epiphany long ago, actual experience of which will be the subject of a future post.

...given enough time, anyone could justify anything, but some things are more obvious than others (mass misery and suffering for instance ...empathy?)

Is it true empathy, based on compassion, that we use to form these more global rationalisations? or falsehood of neglectful, deceitful thinking?

Positive connotation theory: Justifications or beliefs systems reinforcing illusory notions that civilisation is somehow balanced, can I concluded, be easily divided into two distinct categories and used as guide for action and realisation of potential effect. Those which have a positive connotation and that of negative, which serve no real purpose other than to defeat and become merely words or action, regardless of shape or splendour. Anything one does, says or thinks of positive connotation which serves to let us value and grow as humans should be encouraged, should it not?

...is slyness stated by fanciful means still slyness?

I think it depends on connotation. Using connotation one can easily visualise a line extending out from a centre point in both directions, endlessly. Extreme positive one side, negative the other. I reason we can/could put “all” argument aside if we look at connotation and effect as measured against inherent cultural values rather than language which always appears to get lost in power struggle and matters of right or wrong ...everything.

The two most base values we all appear to espouse and share as civilisation, can be found throughout history in writings and media of all kinds and are essentially that, “we don’t like killing or war” and “like love and peace”. So I figure a reasonable rationalisation could therefore be based on these two global assumptions; killing war bad, happiness and peace good.

Note: An important consideration, perhaps difference of using this particular personal model; there is no individual rationalisation whatsoever given to death, rather all generic human death or suffering is treated in same fashion whereby no one is more important than another. Rationale to the contrary soon breaks down as taking this particular mental stance allows contemplation of others; which is key to this ideology and understanding “self” as a whole.

Connotative range reflections can be used pro-actively aiding real formation of values as results on the scale yield from different perspectives taken, however could also be used post-action to determine future paths and evaluate past events. With limited view, unless total independence from the system was achieved, one could never conclude a sincerely holistic outcome on a connotative level unless attempt was made to venture further afield in consideration.

...which is what it’s all about, connecting dots, recognition that we are indeed living examples, each of us ...of the butterfly effect.

Actual statistics whereby something like 5% of the population possess 95% of the material wealth? What the? Personally I think we need to stop, take a step back, think, redistribute wealth of the 5% minority, consider environmental issues, bring everyone else up to speed, form legislation so it can’t happen again ...then proceed forwards, making provision for native inhabitants and those wishing to lead a more natural and basic lifestyle. No one should be left behind due to fear and greed. Yet time and time again when seeking answers to the questions of “why so many have to die or suffer” am constantly reaffirmed in one fashion or another, “no it has to be ...because, because, because, because... ”it has to be” ...why???

and hence nothing, despite ANY amount of intellect or argument, changes ...BLAHH!

Think of where on that line the last thing you said or did lay. There is no true middle point, it’s either good or bad, make a decision. Now consider everything around you, the entire universe, every other person on the planet, every plant and animal. Does the value change or ...could it? It’s simultaneously easy and not so easy to do, if consideration just for one second that no suffering is worth “anything we have”.

If not sufficient answers to formulate this expression, then why? Innocent, day to day employment becomes much more than blameless when considered that it’s actually supporting a system other countries depend on and could be contributing to the misery of others.

Connotation and effect represent possibility, probability and actuality. For connotation measurement to work in earnest an equalizing mental overlay must be utilised that involves three primary perspectives which are: a.) no one is more important than another b.)no death or suffering worth anything we have c.) we are potentially personally responsible for misery, death and suffering of others through action without adequate true knowledge.

Where does any given action lie then on that scale of connotation? I think it becomes an extremely more complicated decision realising independent research is required rather than group consensus and that indeed group consensus merely provides superficial inhibitor. Even buying milk using this form of thinking can be a thought provoking experience ...however it’s not about being more confounded, it’s about being true to our nature, ourselves and the actuality of existence, seeing where and how we actually fit in and affect others.

...what is the connotation of any given action? Positive or negative? do the results change with more information in the mix?

For instance ...why should we fear and attempt to control kindness from others? fear? but do we know in the moment? or in hindsight? ...or never? the true reasoning for “our” actions? and can hindsight be that easily accepted when once the walls of this perception are systematically taken apart it crumbles, never able reassembly ...ever?

...does it ultimately remind and fail the illusion we create that “everything is ok”? Are we creating one as we read this? Does reading it reinforce or repel?

The question of balance often enters the equation, it’s main purpose using delusional methodology, a reinforcement of physical inaction and secure mental foundation. For what else does it do?

and what of literature and art? or philosophy and ethics? in terms of balance? ...in a nine to five world? Would we want to squeeze out those “thinking” or creating amongst us and is part of the reason these fractures of reality exist that, there time is not afforded the process? Not thinking, researching potential conflict with lifestyle or seeking answers within despite two thousand years or so of thought on the subject being available?

When afforded the time to think humanity does but when not afforded that time...what then? What then is our intellectual wonder actually touting? Re-hashed sameness?

..which actually defines and alters, nothing?

Entertained and constrained constantly in a system designed and pushed by those with most economical advantage, I ask, “are those pushing this unrealistic balance accommodated by having, or not having?” Aware of their holistic, “actual” actions (we all “know”)? Are they the few with economic certainty? flaunting such promise? One in six people without access to safe, clean drinking water? ...yet at the simplest of level we buy bottled water and carbonated beverages without a second thought for “where” the water comes from? Then I ask again, “is this part of the balance?”

Correspondingly there’s a worldwide water crisis, how does this fit? equilibrium? A minuscule amount of research is all required to reason bottled water must be a contributing factor yet is there any responsibility taken by the end user? Or do we, once atrocity discovered...blame production entirely for the misfortune of others and let denial reign?

...it’s a personal opinion but for me, only thing that makes warmth, shelter and food worth having in the long run ...is love, and as much I love nature, it’s half the experience, the other half is people and warmth afforded by friendship, kindness and novelty.

What we choose to believe, i.e. difference between the safe reality presented to us by governments corporations and planted (non moving) individuals versus the frightening reality a little independent research obtains of this world are enormous to say the least however this type of information or thinking should not promote fear but understanding and awareness, so “real” choice and opinion can facilitate.

The ultimate example of “why” love can’t work proliferating universal consciousness; the biggest justification for inaction among the species for me, that I’ve heard, is conceptually that “civilisation could not exist without war and violence”...that, it’s our nature, that altruism does not exist and that ...“nobody does nothing for nothing”. All suspiciously interlinked and seeming excuse for every misdemeanour on the planet.

However yet again this concept for me appears but mass delusion and serves only to keep fearful bottoms on couches, reality and proof of sorts is easily obtained (now) through documentaries like “THE LOST PYRAMIDS OF CARAL” and other sources. Mystery of the very first civilisation ever and how it all began has tormented archaeologists, philosophers and scientists for hundreds of years, most common thought amongst them being “war” was necessitation for civilisation...until recent times.

Caral, Peru - 2600BC: the first ever civilisation, the oldest known, which lasted a thousand years ...was built on peace, trade, insecurity and love rather than war, trade, certainty and fear. No weapons of any type, no fortifications ...no protection of any kind?

...what then does that say about fear and this delusion I refer to?

Transcript: (end of documentary)

Narrator:

  • “Caral changes all our current thinking about the origins of civilisation”
  • Because it seems that five thousand years ago, they had no need for warfare.
  • Caral enjoyed a peace that lasted nearly a millennium.
  • An achievement unmatched in the modern world.”

Scientist:

  • “That’s a period of a thousand years of peace”

Archaeologist:

  • “I can’t have a thousand years of peace if warfare’s natural to human beings.
  • Warfare is “part” of human nature.
  • You don’t get a millennium of no war”

Narrator:

  • “Perhaps that is Caral’s real legacy.
  • Human civilisation was not born in bloodshed and battle.
  • Warfare was a later part of the human story.
  • Great things “can” come from peace”.

...first we have to look but does delusion prevent this also? ...of course it does.

Fact is (I feel), we do have innate goodness of character and soul but have twisted a world view to fit our own self deceit ...due to fear which is foundation for greed and desire for power. Civilisation was not inevitable. For over 100,000 years there were neither rulers nor cities. So how did it all start? Answer is ...it started with love and happiness ...and shock, horror ...drugs!!!

No wonder drugs are illegal; ponder seriously, in this context. Wouldn’t want a peaceful, happy civilisation would we? Thriving on? Love? Would love really prevent naturally occurring psychoactive plants from being consumed across the planet? Or has fear? On that level, what right does government, any government, institution or organisation have to ban any substance not unequivocally proven beyond doubt to be detrimental and nothing to do with them personally? Especially from native groups who have been taking these substances for centuries or thousands of years? What excuse did we come up with? ...just then? Those with the thirst of space shuttle could perhaps not be satisfied so easily if love reigned is my answer. Caral to me represents a proof of sorts that we are indeed endowed with an innate goodness and that perhaps we should consider differently.

It seems the very first evidence of civilisation, running over one of the longest civilised periods in the history of man ... was founded on unfortified, peace, trade, insecurity and would you believe drugs; rather than war, security and fear as we would like to and have been led to believe. Why is it again that we need to believe this though? Why do we fear concepts of altruism so greatly? ...fear of?

If sparked to attempt, for one second, that which formal education cannot ...and feel with “real” love and compassion not this “pretend love” which is actually “the myth of love” ...we see clearly there is no balance. That in fact balance is swayed ultimately to greed and power from fear. Fear of the unknown? Fear of being hungry? Fear of “swine flu”? Fear of getting fat, fear of not receiving love or of never having it, of eating wrong, of getting cancer or crusty teeth, fear of losing work and of sexual impotence. Fear of being maltreated by governments and corporations, fear of mental illness, of not being attractive, impressive or articulate, fear of drugs and of taking the wrong one or too many. Fear of death, of life, fear of each other, of being shot, wounded, stabbed or rapped ...fear of reality? Reality therefore a fear?

Everywhere around us projections of fear cunningly disguised as love. Professionally produced fashion billboards create subconscious fear in normal women everywhere of body image yet appear innocent? even helpful? News reporting details nightly a million titbits of fear disguised as cautionary information however what value really is provided by making viewers “fear” something that occurs to .01% of the population or less? TV had / has such potential to educate, inform in true and useful ways however monopoly systems in place prevent even you or I from entertaining thoughts of community based networks. Why is it that, to string RJ45 cable from one house to the next is considered a federal offence?

It’s no wonder we hide initially, however this type of prolonged behaviour results in permanent mental calisthenics of self deceit. What’s does fear really drive in a modern world? Does fear perpetuate notions of individualism? Consumerism, self perpetuating enslavement? Fear surely guides more modern day action than love.

...It’s not however that which it should be ...a fear of the “whole” getting sicker.

This appears too much even for the best of us to fathom or accept with the evidence all around, instead there is perceptive panic the supposed individual may suffer material loss or even temporary loss of comfort, which may indeed be the result of bringing everyone up to standard ...but so what?

Have we become so petty and brainwashed that perceptions of material sacrifice which perhaps mean difference between life or death equate only with unrealistic material suffering and personal loss? That death and suffering is no substitute for a colour TV? When we’ve had more than most ...forever?

Do we think fear is our only buying alternative? That honesty could not be achieved, in advertising for example with rigid legislation in the right area for once, helping people rather than corporate interest? Then ask why? Why that has never occurred, and all other consequences associated with this type of simplicity not being able to be achieved. Then think in relation to balance? We are in a system dependant on fear yet we call it trust. Trust in the economic system for example is based on massive fear of bond and stock market failure.

...it’s a stilted position of circular dependence on lie and deceit of self

The thing is that accepting responsibility is empowering. No longer do you blame others, understanding and awareness result from situations previously thought incomprehensible. It’s a power of the self, something tangible to change.

...once you take holistic responsibility for your own actions ...you are in charge of “your” destiny and can see with some clarity how personal action affects others despite distance or perceived separateness.

Notions of “the world will stop” if we suddenly cease consumerism is indicative of a set up to perpetuate exactly such behaviour and thought by those with capital. Watch the 1948 TV advertisement produced in the US on “capitalism”.

watch the film

Ask, are any characters in it a reflection of your personal politics or viewpoints? Which character are you? Personally, I see typecasts formed of manipulation such as this all around. Have we created a system which in fact imprisons and entraps via such beliefs and uses “fear” as primary weapon? Is concrete love? are trees love? What are most of us surrounded by? What happens ecologically and economically as a result of our purchase? purchases? do we take personal responsibility in actuality or conclude in deceptive state?

For me to suggesting there is balance externally with all information gained over even this much of a lifetime world be presumptuous at best, for I feel let alone contemplate the opposite. It would mean not having ability to be truthful of spirit or goodness within. Amazon shamanic tribes for instance, oil companies and logging destroying land, forest, habitat, wildlife, etc; displacing natural communities who make conscience based decisions to not be included in our western way of life, are repressed and have generations of land taken from under them aside from human rights abuse. Who uses the oil? the wood? Are they “western” corporations based on Capitalism, raping the natural lands of native inhabitants? Does the country we live in trade with that corporation or government in any way supporting economic stability? Are we not all “westerners”? joined at the hip in a philosophy of consumerism and economic whoopdie-doo? Does Capitalism even matter anymore with the decisive element of all major governments financial not people?

...this is what fear2love is about for me, breaking free of the deception to self, of this global affliction.

How “would” this misery be facilitated without “our” unconscious support? Ultimately who buys the stuff or prospers from this interlinked system of economics? Tibet? I think ...the destruction of yet another self sufficient community practicing love rather than fear? For material wealth and resources? Fear? We’re not personally responsible? Not supporting governments based on tyranny? No products from China in every home? All of us protesting fiercely against these atrocities?

Africa? More effort is expended preventing overpopulation than ever feeding a populous. Condoms the biggest donation rather than food? ...seriously? happy? in deluded oblivion?

I feel we sit back and fabricate intelligent rationalisations for why “we” don’t have to do anything about these situations and indeed, why we have no responsibility towards them ...so “we can have nothing” to do with them. Long as we’ve got our couch, it’s all ok.

...but one must ask, is it? r, r, r ...reeeeally???

In short (HA!), the only way to ensure we are not harming others is with adequate information about purchasing and employment decisions ...using love; but it seems we always try to destroy love, Bill Hicks was right - “notice how we always kill those people”. It is my belief that we are threatened by notions of love in a materialistic civilisation (will expound on this greatly in a future post), we don’t understand its ramifications fully yet, become fearful and strike through whatever means in relief of our own inner conflict; however the concept should be abstract to say the least. For instance, why would anyone want to stop someone preaching love, brand them? If preaching fear I could fathom but what of love? Is there or could there ever be too much? After all, is it not a great deal easier to tune out to, than fear? What lasting effect does each have?

and does information of love hurt like fear and hatred? If so, do we as a species need to ask why? Why we fear love? Why are we afraid of new truths which don’t fit with oblivious, comfortably entertained world views? Or does it jeopardise this delusion of non-responsibility and therein lies the real problem?

Do we really believe that if everything was taken away from us tomorrow, with no TV, magazines or microwave ...that we would stop being creative, productive, stop communicating, stop feeding ourselves or stop needing to love and be loved? isn’t it the opposite and we’d be more or just as creative? just as inclined to these activities without all the distraction and inhibitors of a greed and fear based model?

I think that love is the drug, and while there may be no such thing as “perfect love” or “perfect justice” I feel it is possible to have true external balance ...if we can only break down these delusions, see reality and the imbalance we create.

Southpark summed up this delusional conundrum in an episode recently which is both profound, comical and centres around, guess who?...Cartman! How fitting a delusional if ever there was one.

...I won’t put it in, this post is already too long 8)

Saddest thing is at the extremities of this delusional behaviour are people like Cartman, who really do believe their fabrications and are unable to stand back seeing anything clearly ...representing exactly what is happening today. I reason, that’s why the world is the way it is ...because of those taking this delusion too far; fearful, deluded, greedy humans with no forethought to really sacrifice, anything, for the good of anyone else, but rather foster a continual desire for need of more ...everything ...and blame all else ...but themselves.

...perhaps that’s a little harsh? ...we think?

It’s not for success or profit and not about personal benefit ...my path goes “this way” irrespective, and whatever happens on that path ...happens. It’s not about being right or being better, but merely a personal observation which applies to me as to anyone else; about attempting to think equally or correctly, using reality rather than pretence. It’s about knowing and being true rather than illusion and it’s about being truthfully happy. It’s not about feigning happiness through ignorance. Do we really believe “happy” humans would create a civilisation such as this? ...partially happy? ...deluded happy?

...it’s about you ...we ...us; for I am you ...we are one

Unfortunately today I can distinguish no “real” global balance, only perception of such, denial and a potential balance of self. Balance externally is something we perhaps should all be striving to attain through love, awareness and compassion ...by looking internally or at least ...looking around. The last justification or great reinforcer of this denial we as a species need to perpetuate is “nobody does nothing for nothing”. Those screaming it in one form or another are all around, it’s used as ultimate justification for their fears, but is incorrect.

...look around, really look. Without fear, through practice of loving kindness, there is no desire or need in people for such things as power, greed or violence of any kind; they are merely victims or survivors of others perpetrating it.

Me, me , me, me, me! ...where is the “us”? Whacked an instant poem up on Twitter the other day as it came to me in a flash, while trying to think of some way to thank the many people looking upon the journey. Seems fitting here...

  • “there’s not enough money in existence,
  • nor should there be,
  • that I could forget the you, we or us
  • ...of me”

...there is no separateness, only an illusion of separation caused by fear; perceptions of separation are in fact subtle differences, in parts making a whole

Note: There is an underlying concept at work here which I will describe (among other things) in a following post, that of “no good is possible without suffering”. It does not suggest however as I will elaborate that we should not attempt “good” but merely is that which via process has inevitability of suffering. Notions I will endeavour impart are an extension of and support ramblings here and attempt to clamber actual crux of issue at hand ...“why we have never been able to turn fully from a path of fear and enslavement? Stay tuned...

fear2love ...getting us thinking despite it stinking

...thoughts on swine flu feardemic?

Posted this yesterday as a Twitter series in reflection on fearful reactions about "swine flu"

Note: surely we comprehend it's manufacture? another means of divide and conquer? swine cross bird, crossed with human strains? or are we to believe that some mutant, bird human with a fetish for pig caused this?

...???

  • some notes on "fear". "Panic is a sudden desertion of us, and a going over to the enemy of our imagination" -Christian Nevell Bovee
  • I feel "Neither comprehension nor learning can take place in an atmosphere of anxiety" -Frank Smith.
  • and hope "We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason" -Edward R. Murrow
  • because "The enemy is fear. We think it is hate; but, it is fear" -Gandhi
  • "Fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world" -Ralph Waldo Emerson
  • for "Fear; if allowed free rein, would reduce all of us to trembling shadows of men, for whom only death could bring release" -J Wilson
  • and the ultimate fear, "To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead" -Bertrand Russell.

...love life, love self, love others ...love!

quote of the moment

While searching for something Twittwyse to give ...on the subject of "giving", I stumbled across this...

"At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done.

We will be judged by 'I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was naked and you clothed me, I was homeless and you took me in.'

Hungry not only for bread -- but hungry for love. Naked not only for clothing -- but naked for human dignity and respect. Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks -- but homeless because of rejection."

Mother Teresa

... wow!!! how good is that? ...so amazing that those long of material world still let us beam and smile, like they were still around 8)

fear2love: Q.o.T.W.

quote of the week

"I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand" -Confucius

Confucius 551BC, profound, amazing, so ahead of his time...or was he? Evidently Buddha was born 563BC? 12 years difference? a coincidence? really?

What "was" that period in history about??? So much implication in every word...for us. Global corporations pushing from spirituality, contentedness, into consumerism and never ending cycles of self-gratification? Happiness Vs Happier? Happiness being a temporary state requiring constant update; as new models arrive, happiness fades. "Happier" sustains over much longer periods; health, energy, being loved, compassion for others, etc, yeild a happier life in general, which does not necessarily recede in actuality. What more do we really have today?

...distinct feeling; very shortly, we will look to this inciteful period of humanity for ultimate awareness into this time we live, on mass and we will listen. What draws, it stands to reason...must draw others.

QUOTEgATE Part 02

Illuminati, New World Order, Global Government (they're all the same thing)

...an extension of power that has been ruling our lives in one way or another for thousands of years

1bill

Don't despair though, this post is not going to be a comprehensive account of the historical facts or otherwise surrounding The Great Conspiracy, the Illuminati or any terms mentioned in the title. Information and research on this subject is immense, freely available and would be in the best interests of anyone whatsoever to at least familiarise themselves with these notions. Implied connotations are far too serious to ignore and even simplistic imagination dictates absolute possibility of potential harm.

As alternative offering, this post attempts to create an emotional, intelligence based awareness of main characters mentioned throughout these conspiratorial references, using quotations / question and will briefly touch few key points which are critical to acceptance as issue or least, concern.

...it's all about power, and potential or possibility

Ever since I can remember there has been a single, surreptitious and quite frightening political theory circulating throughout western society. Terms in the title above refer to the same thing; a sophisticated plan for one world government instigated by the largest banks and corporations on the planet. It is supposed that tactics employed in pursuit of this goal use above all else "perseverance" as primary weapon.

...doesn't sound so bad; perseverance? so what! until you realise what it actually means

This supposed tactic of "perseverance" translates logically and easily into more recognisable language when placed in correct context as "stealth" and "infiltration". Terms like stealth and infiltration when applied to military usage seem almost appropriate given current conditioning however when conceptually applied to government and the potential to interfere with, obstruct or impede ordinary life...there is no hypothesis more frightening.

Actual meaning implied by use of the term in this context is "the substitution and overthrow of governments and entire countries by stealth and infiltration"; a war of attrition, without instant fulfilment of plans, piece by piece, slow and steady wins the race.

...now that's a little scary, don't you think? considering that those evidently involved had billions/trillions before any of us were conceived; worth thinking about? Way my logic works is this...it's the only way it could happen, is very simple to start implementing and requires no direct military force; only money and cunning. Note that intelligence was not mentioned? Cunning is like intelligence...but bent, twisted, misshaped and seeks only to better itself. Intelligence is opposite.

Join your own dots but perhaps try this...

QUESTION-tIME: let the imagination flow

Next time you're walking through a large city, look up. "Look up" at the buildings surrounding you. I won't do it for you (HAHA! ...my imagination needs no work) but "look" at all facets of scale, materials, structure, shape, decoration, function, etc. What would it take to a.) have the opportunity and b.) financial ability to produce? Ponder infinite dollars involved in construction and look especially at older buildings, created by corporations and companies never heard of, before birth.

Contemplate the power these individuals or groups wielded, in that time. Use imagination, allow malicious intent. Are we surrounded by good? What have they really given us? Is love and kindness represented everywhere? Is it something else? What do we see? What "could" be going on now?

Consider the diverse interests of many of the largest corporations today, and then consider that some corporations are hundreds and hundreds of years old. Corporations like J.P. Morgan for instance; with enough cash to buy entire countries (post on World Bank coming) and bail out governments. Surprise, surprise, J.P. Morgan is a primary mention for almost every reference on the subject. Mull it over, especially of famous corporations, like Coca-Cola who currently produce over 2800 beverage products. What else do they own? Could they own? Food? Arms? Munitions? Consider the realistic goal of business, for profit only and then ponder on power billions/trillions of dollars provide with no rules, but to make more. What checks and balances are there for those with insurmountable dollars? What judge or officer cannot be bought? What laws really apply to the power mongers?

...then think of the power these individuals or groups could really wield, now, if they multiplied the money over the centuries?

Do we think this money just disappears over time? Money that made all those buildings (not about the buildings, merely to evoke imagination) vanished into thin air? No individuals attached? No other savings or bonds; all into the building? Those presently with an abundance of cash, don't cling madly to its opulent whisper, plotting and planning ever more? Investments, shares, stock markets, blah? Do we not know corporate nature at all, after this time? "Look" around. Is it "good"? Concrete and plastics, nature's replacement?

..."could" there actually be a grand conspiracy in place? One that's been slowly eroding society for hundreds of years through an inability to control greed and power? could there? could?

Fear though, unlike contemporaries in this field of writing is not the objective communication here but rather evocation of awareness leading to greater choices and understanding. It's about questioning everything. If answers independently arrived at verifiy what you're being told or think you know, so be it. If they don't...what then? ...and what does your gut say, always consider that, always.

Perhaps knowing, we would choose to do things differently. Maybe we'd consume differently and given "all" the information, we might choose a simpler more spiritual life after all, despite what's being pushed. Are we really so afraid of confronting even potential truths, locked in self-centred oblivious consumption? Conditioned each day to be more so via mass media advertising? What can you buy today? Think of yourself for tomorrow. Where do you want to go on your holidays? Look at my new jeans, like my new hairstyle, check my new phone. Fact is, too much information is concealed from us by governments and corporations...or governments on behalf of corporations which is more precise.

...big whoopdee on the scale of things isn't it? Me, me, me, me, me! ...it's about, "us". Look up into the sky at night, at the stars (if you can see them?)

Who first discovered/wrote about this ultimate theory of power and corruption? Did impetus come from various presidential speeches or quotes like those below? Who first named it a conspiracy? Was it government? An innocent patriot? Who had/has the most to gain? Is it worth finding out? Researching for ourselves? Not taking my word for it?

End QUESTIONtIME:

...it goes something like this

"On May 1, 1776, in Bavaria, Dr. Adam Weishaupt, a professor of Canon Law at Ingolstadt University and a former Jesuit, formed a secret society called the Order of the Illuminati within the existing Masonic lodges of Germany." ...blah, blah, blah

Pasted from <http://www.conspiracyarchive.com/NWO/Illuminati.htm>

...but cut to chase, the bit we probably have missed, overlooked

  • "Some even believe we (the Rockefeller family) are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." - David Rockefeller, Memoirs, page 405

...but do we get that bit, he says he did it? Head of the family all conspiracy theorists state is basically a modern day equivalent of the antichrist, the continuum of The Great Conspiracy, said he did it.

Ok, here...secret? cabal? working against? against the best interests? conspiring? conspiring with others? others around the world? building global political and economic structure? one world? building a global structure, one world, with other internationalists around the world? conspiring? charge? guilty? guilty? guilty? proud??? proud of conspiring against the peoples of all nations???????????? lol, WTF???

...not sure what's up with these people but I'm so glad I don't have it. greed factor infinitus maximus? gene slippage?

What's the argument again, against this conspiracy theory? With the evidence all around us, a quote above from most accused confessing exactly what all the great conspiracy theories have attempted to convey? "I stand guilty"? Do we still fail to believe? Or take these people (conspiracy nuts?) seriously...at all? Did we ever really stop to think that maybe, just maybe, it's not a "conspiracy theory" and that indeed the term itself was manufactured by those with power in effort to covert truth? is there potential, for that?

It's not that hard, anytime we want...to stop buying crap and remember the bond we once shared as humans, the bond we presently only enjoy with family and close friends. Another way to live or love, not involving inanimate objects perhaps or not so much or in a different way, not wasteful or polluting, in harmony with the environment? Love, compassion, that stuff? There are heaps of ideas out there, positive, kind, compassionate ones. I bet we all have them, we all know it.

...sorry, stupid idea! HEEEE!

The warnings are numerous, by political figures and statesman from all walks. Convictions of conscience, though seldom beginning that way. There are also numerous overt statements given by those involved or connected to this subject.

QUOTEgATE gets into full swing...

  • "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." - Thomas Jefferson
  • "The system of banking [is] a blot left in all our Constitutions, which, if not covered, will end in their destruction... I sincerely believe that banking institutions are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity... is but swindling futurity on a large scale."- Thomas Jefferson
  • "The real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self created screen....At the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both political parties." -New York City Mayor John F. Hylan, 1922
  • "We shall have world government whether or not you like it, by conquest or consent." - Statement by Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member and Rothschild banker, James Warburg to The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on February 17th, l950
  • "Whoever controls the volume of money in any country is absolute master of all industry and commerce." - US President James A. Garfield
  • "The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. " - Kennedy, 27 April 196?
  • "The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining supercapitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control.... Do I mean conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent."-Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976, killed in the Korean Airlines 747 that was shot down by the Soviets
  • "Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government." - Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference in Evians, France, 1991
  • "In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasn't such a great idea after all." - Strobe Talbot, President Clinton's Deputy Secretary of State, Time Magazine, July 20th, l992
  • "Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed." - Sara Brady, Chairman, Handgun Control, to Sen. Howard Metzenbaum, The National Educator, January 1994, Page 3.
  • "In a small Swiss city sits an international organization so obscure and secretive....Control of the institution, the Bank for International Settlements, lies with some of the world's most powerful and least visible men: the heads of 32 central banks, officials able to shift billions of dollars and alter the course of economies at the stroke of a pen." - Keith Bradsher of the New York Times, August 5, 1995
  • "The powers of financial capitalism had another far reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements, arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was the Bank for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the worlds' central banks which were themselves private corporations. The growth of financial capitalism made possible a centralization of world economic control and use of this power for the direct benefit of financiers and the indirect injury of all other economic groups." - Tragedy and Hope: A History of The World in Our Time (Macmillan Company, 1966,) Professor Carroll Quigley of Georgetown University, highly esteemed by his former student, William Jefferson Blythe Clinton.
  • "We are not going to achieve a new world order without paying for it in blood as well as in words and money." - Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., in Foreign Affairs

...have to finish this bit with Huxley

  • "There will be in the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude and producing dictatorship without tears so to speak. Producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution." - Aldous Huxley, Tavistock Group, California Medical School, 1961

...fluoride in drinking water anyone? ecstasy? cocaine? (come on, stop drooling over the last two...ahem!) etc, etc. just think about them in relation to the Huxley quote.

Note: Researched these quotes briefly 09/04/09, with a view to doing this post...wondering what I could have come up with if I actually tried? Scary thought.

...now let's see the kind of people we're really dealing with; we can get a sense using quotations from the men themselves and others who knew them

  • "Throughout the first half of the nineteenth century, the (Rothschild) brothers conducted important transactions on behalf of the governments of England, France, Prussia, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Naples, Portugal, Brazil, various German states and smaller countries. They were the personal bankers of many of the crowned heads of Europe. They made large investments, through agents, in markets as distant as the United States, India, Cuba and Australia." - G. Edward Griffin
  • "Lord Rothschild had access to all manner of leaders and experts. He was responsible only to the Prime Minister and answerable to neither the electorate nor the civil service chiefs." - Derek Wilson

...have a listen to the old man (Australian term for father), maxed in the power tripping department or what?

  • "God gave me my money. I believe the power to make money is a gift from God, to be developed and used to the best of our ability for the good of mankind. Having been endowed with the gift I possess, I believe it is my duty to make money and still more money and to use the money I make for the good of my fellow man according to the dictates of my conscience." - [John D. Rockefeller]

...his conscience? hmmm...

  • "I can think of nothing less pleasurable than a life devoted to pleasure." - [John D. Rockefeller]
  • "Do you know the only thing that gives me pleasure? It's to see my dividends coming in." - [John D. Rockefeller]
  • "I would rather earn 1% off a 100 people's efforts than 100% of my own efforts." - [John D. Rockefeller]
  • "I have ways of making money that you know nothing of." - [John D. Rockefeller]
  • "The way to make money is to buy when blood is running in the streets." - [John D. Rockefeller]
  • "The ability to deal with people is as purchasable a commodity as sugar or coffee and I will pay more for that ability than for any other under the sun." - [John D. Rockefeller]

...starting to build up an image? how about a few from the son?

  • "We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order." - David Rockefeller
  • "We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years... It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries." - David Rockefeller, Bilderberg Meeting, June 1991 Baden, Germany (in case you missed QUOTEgATE Part 01)
  • "Whatever the price of the Chinese Revolution, it has obviously succeeded not only in producing more efficient and dedicated administration, but also in fostering high morale and community of purpose. The social experiment in China under Chairman Maos leadership is one of the most important and successful in human history." - David Rockefeller, statement in 1973 about Mao Tse-tung: (NY Times 8-10-73)

...WHAT THE???

I'll leave it there for now, certain we're starting to get the picture that nothing, no TV, not a new car or dishwasher is worth the risk associated with not being aware in matters such as these. Potential has amazement and harm as consequences...good to be aware of consequence. Why are there F.E.M.A camps being built throughout the United States? Why has this man Obama turned around and done everything he said he wouldn't and worse despite being the first African American president in history? What's with RFID chips? Do we really want to be controlled...better, more efficiently? A whole lot more to get us thinking coming up in Part 03. Know your life, make sure "you" know, a politician won't tell us. It goes against their religion...to not lie.

Rothschild's next? The original and the best? Family evidently responsible for putting the modern day plan into action and passing it down through Rockefeller...and then to Obama the puppet. Oooooh!!! Stay tuned for QUOTEgATE Part 03, the final chapter (but not of us).

Don't be afraid, be aware. Nothing compares to truth, love, compassion and kindness...nothing.

quote of the week

  • “I've seen a look in dogs' eyes, a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt, and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts.” - John Steinbeck ( Nobel Prize for Literature for 1962, 1902-1968)

...so funny 8) can't help wondering if it's true though

QUOTEgATE Part 01

bs detection in overdrive
Note: this post contains adult language, most notably the word "shit"

"Men often stumble on the Truth, but usually dust themselves off & hurry away..."
- [Winston Churchill]

...there's a saying in Australia,
"if it looks like shit and smells like shit, then it must be shit"

I believe some parts of the world use a similar expression substituting "rat" however it's not correct for my intent. It's a bad rap for the rat in fact. I've had (pet) rats; they're intelligent, extremely loving and affectionate.

Once upon a time bull shit detection was our thing. "That's bullshit maaate!" being possibly the most common colloquialism we have, apart from "faaark maaaaate!" Like the rest of the world however we're subject to 24/7 mass propaganda from government, media and corporations preaching fear and consumerism while informing us continually of "how nice and safe we'll all be...if we just follow the rules". With the amount of confusion and uncertainty permeating through society bullshit detection is becoming a lost art.

...but it's all bull shit mate! We've been duped, swindled, hog tied and we're being dragged behind the virtual horse

For the most part, BS-detection mechanisms seem to target everyday interactions with other people and not politicians (which they should) who, given the current crop, are the most blatant bullshit artists of all time.

Know this before we go on though...I'm not working for a government, not affiliated with any corporation in any way, shape or form, not a Socialist, Democrat, Liberal or Green, not a cop, a secret agent and not working for McDonalds or Coke (...and "I would" stand before a congressional hearing and testify to that fact - why did they get away with it? Bush/Cheney/911), but you know what?

...shit, still smells like shit

We're so busy being entertained...constrained. Modern day heroes are plentiful. Kicking dead cow innards full of air between big sticks makes crowds roar every Sunday for half the year...how would we know "anything" was going on?

...mainstream media? ...HA!!!

"In March, 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests, the steel, shipbuilding, and powder interest, and their subsidiary organizations, got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them to control generally the policy of the daily press....They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25 of the greatest papers. "An agreement was reached; the policy of the papers was bought, to be paid for by the month; an editor was furnished for each paper to properly supervise and edit information regarding the questions of preparedness, militarism, financial policies, and other things of national and international nature considered vital to the interests of the purchasers."

- U.S. Congressman Oscar Callaway, 1917

...surprise, surprise. most reference material on "the great conspiracy theory" suggest JPMorgan interests as prime movers and instigators of a worldwide treachery; ninety two years! ...and there's this one

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years... It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."

- David Rockefeller, Bilderberg Meeting, June 1991 Baden, Germany

...not for me it isn't %$#$@*!!

Surprise??? Yet again most of the reference material involving "the Illuminati, a New World Order, Global Government (latest, most inoffensive term given it) and the great conspiracy theory" all mention Rockefeller at or near the top of this modern day chain of deception. Essentially what these two quotes are saying to us is that "there has been no unbiased media coverage on significant events since 1915 and in fact media coverage has been able to be manipulated for other gain since that time".

...can't see or understand the significance of these quotes? ...still? with what is going on everywhere around us? the violence? crime? disassociation from each other? ridiculous, repressive laws? concepts of consumerism where power and possession have value over people and peace? excessive fear?

Ever seen "Wag The Dog"? What if I were to suggest infinitely more sinister things than any suspected moon landing had been staged? How about this one? Remember the famous video scene after the US entered Iraq, of Iraqis tearing down the statue of Saddam in victorious street celebration involving US forces and locals.

...the mass of people tearing the statue down? Remember?

It was all staged. The company involved is "The Rendon Group"; a public relations agency under contract from the pentagon that specialises in propaganda. It was featured in an Australian Cutting Edge documentary produced by SBS, the first and only time this info has been made public to my knowledge.

...there are entire corporations specialising in this sort of propaganda and disinformation. they get paid as much for their silence as for any work undertaken. when does mainstream media ever show things such as this? do we believe this is the only example? or that example is rife if we choose to look?

watch the clip -------------------------------------------------->

...what is the implication of this information? ...to our lives?

Note: was going to include all relevant links to suggested viewing below, however in actuality what I am speaking about deals primarily with concepts of independent thought therefore is potentially in the best interests of all readers to research this information themselves, as I have done (although I do plan to add all links eventually anyway ...good game's a fast game). Most of the work is available freely online although some may require a little perseverance to find. It's quite an amazing journey; so good, to know your life ...feels, empowering ...closer to love? don't be afraid, be aware/awake.

...still having difficulty?

--> THEN WATCH THESE

Note: documentaries suggested below are by no means the only sources of information I am discussing presently. Viewed around four hundred and seventy something documentaries in three years, lost count of how many written papers, over a hundred and seventy gigabytes of information...gained in two massive, insanely weird, almost compulsive, synchronistic spurts - no wonder I'm full ...uuuurp!

Screams from a distant audience, trained to believe everything is alright ..."that's bullshit mate!" That's where you hear it most now days, as objection to truth when it's right in front of our eyes. "That's bullshit mate!" has become a slightly twisted justification for inaction of our fears.

...but you know what? all this isn't bullshit, what we believe is

NETWORK: “You have meddled Mr Beale”

corporate cosmology

...such a great monologue

NETWORK 1976 (film)

Transcript: "You have meddled with the primal forces of nature Mr Beale and I won't have it!

Is that clear?

Do you think you've merely stopped a business deal? That is not the case. The Arabs have taken millions of dollars out of this country and now they must put it back. It is ebb and flow, tidal gravity, it is ecological balance.

You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations, there are no peoples, there are no Russians, there are no Arabs, there are no third worlds, there is no west. There is only one holistic system of systems. One vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multivariate, multinational dominion of dollars. Petrol dollars, electro dollars, multi dollars, reichmarks, ren, roubles, pounds and shekles.

It is the international system of currency which determines the totality of life, on this planet. That is the natural order of things today. That is the atomic...and sub atomic ...and galactic structure of things today. And you have meddled with the primal forces of nature and you will atone. Am I getting through to you Mr Beale?

You get up on, your little 21" screen...and howl...about America and democracy. There is no America, there is no democracy. There is only, IBM and ITT, and AT&T...and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide...and Exxon. Those are the missions of the world today.

What do you think the Russians talk about in their councils of state, Carl Marks? They get out their linear programming charts, statistical decision theories, minimax solutions and compute the price cost probabilities of their transactions and investments just like we do. We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies Mr Beale. The world is a college of corporations, inexorably determined by the, immutable bylaws of business.

The world is a business Mr Beale. It has been since man crawled out of the slime...and our children will live Mr Beale, to see that...perfect, world...in which there's no war or famine, oppression or brutality. One vast and ecumenical holding company, for whom all men will work to serve a common profit. In which all men will share of stock. All necessities, provided...all anxieties tranquilised...all boredom, amused."

fear2love: Q.o.T.M.

quote of the moment

Neither a lofty degree of intelligence nor imagination nor both together go to the making of genius. Love, love, love, that is the soul of genius.

- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

...all you need is love

famous WARNINGS: prophetic gloom (part one)

Aldous Huxley on "A Brave New World"

Throughout history there have been many prominent scholars and public figures who heralded uncannily accurate warnings of critical issues to confront the future of all humanity. We generally regard these people as among some of the most amazing figures history ever churned out however when they speak truth we cork our ears, close our eyes, hum loudly...and turn the other way.

...perhaps we should listen to just one of them?

Continually failing to heed these warnings we march blindly onwards into a more fearful, hurtful, hateful, violent and unaware society which "hasn't" gotten fundamentally better despite considerable (supposed) efforts and intention to the contrary. These warnings, both explicit and subtle are found everywhere from interviews and death bed speeches to entire books and are numerous enough to fill their own novel (hint, hint...for anyone with more inclination).

Presented first is Aldous Huxley whose prophetic writing "A Brave New World" recognises, extends and enhances concepts of totalitarian servitude put forth by the famous writer George Orwell in his novel 1984. Huxley actually wrote a letter to Orwell which expresses essential difference of concept between the two works...that of increased efficiency. He felt his novel much closer to the reality of our future enslavement and stated openly that Orwell's methods weren't efficient enough and for that reason would not be considered "useful".

*************************

October 21st, 1949

Dear Mr Orwell,

The nightmare of 1984 is destined to modulate into A Brave New World. The change will be brought about as a result of a felt need for increased efficiency.

Thank you once again for the book.

Yours sincerely

Aldous Huxley

**************************

...wonder if he actually realised it works as a guide book also??? He supposedly wrote it as a warning, but is it used as reference for tyranny?

Note currently looking for an interview with Huxley where he says "A Brave New Word was based on what was happening at the time", I've seen it/got it somewhere, quite interesting...a post or three away.

1934 (i think) - Aldous Huxley - interview about "A Brave New World"

Transcript: "what I may call the message is a Brave New World, but it is possible...uh, to make people, contented with their servitude. I think this can be done. I think it has been done in the past but, and I think it could be done even more effectively now because you can provide them with, bread and circuses and you can provide them with endless amounts of distractions and propaganda.

Well what is to me very interesting. It looks as though the totalitarian regimes of the future, will not be based upon terror because they will have other means. These...means...w...now presently described as brainwashing and propaganda, which will be much more efficient and much more economical than um, natural force, and more pleasurable to those who undergo them . There are techniques available at present which seem to, duplicate some of the techniques that I... invented"
